Curricular Corner

While the coalition does not endorse curricula, we are pleased to promote trusted youth personal financial curricula that in many cases are free to educators and may involve direct educator training.

Curricula to Check Out!

Since 1984, NEFE® has offered the High School Financial Planning Program (HSFPP) as a public service to increase the financial literacy of America’s youth. The program has grown substantially since then and has succeeded in its goal of preparing teens to understand their personal finances and be better able to manage them.

Money Math: Lessons for Life
is a four-lesson curriculum supplement for middle school math classes, teaching grade 7-9 math concepts using real-life examples from personal finance. The 86-page book is a teacher's guide with lesson plans, reproducible activity pages, and teaching tips. A teacher needs only one copy of Money Math: Lessons for Life to teach several classes of students.
